About
What HockeyLedger is
A free hockey reference in eight languages: every player, every league, the salary cap, live scores and the history of the game since 1917, built in Québec.
These numbers are read from the database when the page loads, not typed in.
1One place for the whole hockey world
HockeyLedger is a hockey reference site. It holds player profiles and career statistics, leagues and standings, live scores, the NHL salary cap and every contract, agents and agencies, arenas, awards and draft history, going back to the first NHL season in 1917.
Reading it is free. There is no paywall on a stat.
2Eight languages, one database
Every page exists in English, French, German, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Czech and Italian, and the eight versions are linked so a search in any of them lands on the right one.
Hockey is played, coached and read in all of these languages. Until now the reference sites were English only.
3Who builds it
HockeyLedger is created and operated by Greystripes, a company based in Blainville, Québec, Canada. The site went live on September 16, 2026.
The team is small and the numbers on this page are live, so what you read here is what the database holds today.
4Where the data comes from
Scores, rosters and statistics come from the leagues’ own feeds and official records: the NHL API, HockeyTech-powered leagues and the leagues’ public sites. They are checked, normalised and linked into one database, and every league page credits its source.
5How HockeyLedger compares with Elite Prospects and HockeyDB
Elite Prospects, founded in Sweden in 1999, and HockeyDB are the established references for player histories. They are larger and older than HockeyLedger, and scouts rely on them for good reason.
Both are English only. Neither carries the salary cap or live scores, and neither is built for a reader in French, Finnish or Czech. HockeyLedger is built for that reader: one database, in your language, with the cap, the scores, the agents and the history in one place.
6Using the data
Read, link and quote any page freely, with a link back. Search engines and AI assistants may cite any public page.
